How to Become a LICPA Member

How to Become a Firm Member

Firm membership of the Institute is open to corporate entities that are registered in Liberia to provide public accounting service and that are managed by at least one Professional or Chartered Member of the Institute.

To register as a member firm of the Institute, a corporate entity must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be registered in Liberia to provide public accounting service;
  2. Be managed by at least one Professional or Chartered member of the Institute;
  3. Have partners that are all certified accountants (CPA, CA, ACCA, etc.); and
  4. Meet other eligibility requirements of the Institute;

The following documents must be submitted:

  1. Article of Incorporation
  2. Business registration certificate;
  3. Tax clearance 
  4. Proof of network membership
  5. Firm profile
  6. Resident and work permits for all non-Liberian staff
  7. Payment of firm application fee

How to Become A Individual or Professional Member

To register as a member firm of the Institute, an individual must met the following requirements:

  1. Completed Individual Membership Registration Form, Click Here to Download
  2. Proof of nationality and age: Face page of passport or birth certificate
  3. Proof of LICPA membership (if applicable): Membership certificate
  4. Proof of Residency in Liberia (if applicable)
  5. Education Certification: degree(s), certificate(s) for each of the institutions listed in item 15 of the form.
  6. Proof of Professional Qualification: Certificate(s) for each of the qualifications listed in Item 16 on the form
  7. Detailed Curriculum Vitae(CV)
  8. One Passport-sized photo with white background 
  9. Payment of Individual Application Fee
