Student Eligibility
Eligibility for the Syllabus Integration Program (SIP)
Students must meet the admission requirements for the accounting department at the participating university. The participating university has revised its undergraduate curriculum to integrate the SIP. Once enrolled into the accounting program at the participating university, students are automatically enrolled into the SIP.
Eligibility for the Accounting Technician Scheme, West Africa (ATSWA)
To be eligible for enrollment into the accounting technician certification program, a student must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a high school graduate;
- Complete the admission form;
- Pay all applicable fees; and
- Register for and attend the Institute’s tutorial classes.
Students who earn the ATSWA Certification are eligible for exemptions in the professional certification program.

Eligibility for the CPA Certification Program
To be eligible for enrollment into the accounting technician certification program, a student must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must have either earned a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or have completed the ATSWA Certification;
- Complete the admission form;
- Pay all applicable fees; and
- Register for and attend the Institute’s tutorial classes.
Students with bachelor’s degree in accounting are eligible for exemptions in the professional certification program.
